Stanford Redwood City is the workplace for more than 2,000 employees and a center of excellence for critical areas that support the university's mission to research and education. The campus was designed to reflect Stanford’s spirit, mission and culture of discovery, learning, and contributing to a better world.
You’ll find practical steps below to make sure your visit here from the main campus goes smoothly as well as an appreciation for what the campus has to offer to all Stanford employees.
The 35-acre campus includes four modern office buildings, a café, conference center, plazas, promenades, a child care center, a recreation and wellness center and so much more! The best part is that all the amenities are open to all employees regardless of which campus you work on.
Main campus Stanford employees may use their 'A' or 'C' parking permits to park in any 'C-SRWC' spaces at Barron Parking Garage or the surface lots. If your department has a service vehicle permit, you also have the option to park in service vehicle spaces.
If you don’t have a parking permit or if you don’t wish to drive, SRWC is approximately 1.5 miles from downtown Redwood City and the Redwood City Transit Center. Catch a free Commute.org or Marguerite shuttle on weekdays from the Transit Center to the campus.
Stay up to date on all that's happening at Stanford Redwood City by visiting the announcements page on the SRWC website. You'll find copies of the monthly newsletter, event announcements, operational updates, campus alerts, general news and much, much more.
The campus has many open spaces accessible for main campus employees who want a short-term workspace, but it’s not equipped to serve as a permanent touchdown space.
However, you may coordinate with your business unit leadership, at their discretion, for workstation access within their allocated space at SRWC. The café is a public space, however, it is also not equipped to accommodate touchdown needs.
