Chinese Brush Painting: presented by Felix Chan Lim, Ph.D. and Bobbi Makani, Ph.D.

Chinese Brush Painting is considered as one of the oldest living arts in the world. It has existed for more than 6,000 years and is quite a fascinating and unusual art form. Each brush stroke is a defining move that is very hard to correct. The simplicity of a Chinese painting belies the complex and demanding process that the artist went through to produce it.

Each session of the Chinese Brush Painting series will introduce students to a specific theme and technique. These sessions are designed to provide students with an awareness of Chinese Brush Painting and what makes it unique. We will start each session with a brief introduction on the subject, then follow this with a short demonstration on the techniques of the Chinese Brush.
