Regular medical care with a trusted provider is an important part of your wellness plan, whether your visit is an annual wellness check-up or to address a specific medical concern. Yet the amount of time you are able to spend with your provider is often limited. What can you do to optimize your visit?

In this noontime webinar, Stanford primary care physician Dr. Randall Stafford will discuss strategies to get the most benefits from your remote or in-person doctors' appointments. You will learn how to anticipate the information doctors often need as well as ways to redirect conversations when necessary, including how to prompt doctors to provide fuller explanations of important facts or concepts. Walk away with tools that will help you have more efficient doctors’ visits and feel more empowered to take a larger role in your own healthcare.

Instructor: Randall Stafford, MD, PhD, is director of the Program on Prevention Outcomes and Practices in the Stanford Preventive Research Center. His training includes internal medicine and epidemiology, while his research emphasizes clinical issues and health behaviors related to cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
