The Stanford Redwood City Recreation and Wellness Center is proud to offer free Water Safety Courses in honor of Water Safety Awareness Month. Held on May 21st and 31st at 12:00 PM at our scenic rooftop pool, these sessions are designed to equip participants with essential water safety skills to help prevent accidents and promote safe practices around water. Please note: this is not a swim clinic to learn swim strokes. The course will take place in the water and will focus on hands-on safety techniques and situational awareness. Whether you’re a parent, caregiver, or simply looking to be more informed, these courses provide practical knowledge and confidence to help keep yourself and others safe in and around water environments. Join us and make water safety a priority this May.
Procedure for reporting incidents/accidents occurring during class:
We do our best to minimize the risk of injuries in our classes. However, there is a possibility of injuries occurring when participating in physical activities. If an injury occurs during class, please notify your instructor immediately and fill out the online incident report using this online form within 24 hours of the incident.
If you have any questions, please contact Athena Mendoza at srwcaquatics@stanford.edu
