Event Details:
Stanford Redwood City has been hosting a series of conversations with artists that have contributed to the indoor art program. We hope these interviews serve as another channel to learn more about the artwork, the artists' inspirations, and the artists themselves.
Our final interview in this series features Tom Killion who was born and raised in Mill Valley, California, on the slopes of Mt. Tamalpais, the rugged scenery of Marin County and Northern California inspired Tom Killion to create landscape prints using linoleum and wood, strongly influenced by the traditional Japanese Ukiyo-e style of Hokusai and Hiroshige.
His work is an engaging combination of traditional Japanese woodblock print technique and contemporary local settings.
You can submit a question to Tom here.
