Update on eating and drinking at water points and plazas

In order to prevent transmission of the COVID-19 virus, Stanford University site policy prohibited eating and drinking at the water points and plazas at Stanford Redwood City. Based on improving case numbers and test positivity rates, this restriction has now been eased.

You can now resume eating and drinking at the water points and plazas:

  • While socially distanced

  • Complying with capacity limitations and sitting in only designated areas

  • Wearing your face covering unless actively eating or drinking

  • Continuing to clean up and disinfect your immediate space before and after dining (sanitizing wipes will be provided at the water points and plazas only)

You may continue to eat and drink at your workstation, outdoor spaces and other limited occupancy, enclosed spaces such as phone booths, if you still prefer.

Visit SRWC’s COVID-19 resources page for more information.
