Smart Lockers

Main content start

Smart Lockers are a secure, contactless, self-service mechanism to access and retrieve packages throughout campus. They are located in the building lobbies (Academy, Cardinal, Discovery, and University) and accessible 24 hours a day.

Incoming Mail
Packages that do not require a signature are delivered same day to the recipient’s department anchor point, unless received after the second daily route has begun. When the SRWC Mail team receives a package that requires a signature, the designated recipient will be notified via email. In response, the recipient may select ‘Smart Locker’ as their preferred delivery method.

Then, the package is delivered to a smart locker and an email from noreply@pb.com is sent to the recipient. This will contain:

  • Date & time
  • Locker location
  • Navigation instructions
  • 6-digit pin & QR code

When the recipient activates the 6-digit pin or QR code at the locker location, a picture will be taken for security purposes. Then, the locker(s) will release the package(s).

Cross-Departmental Mail
If an occupant is in need of exchanging materials with another occupant on campus, they may do so utilizing our Smart Lockers. Materials must be able to fit into one of our lockers (please find the measurements below). To initiate the exchange process, the sender will need to submit a service request and include the following information in the description box:

   - Smart Locker exchange request with confirmation receipt.

   - Recipient’s first and last name; email address; and SUNet ID

   - Number of parcels

   - Building destination

The SRWC Mail team will then respond with instructions to complete the exchange.

Here are the updated parcel locker sizes, for your information:

  • Small - 18’’(W) x 5’’(H) x 23’’(D)
  • Medium - 18’’(W) x 9’’(H) x 23’’(D)
  • Large - 18’’(W) x 18’’(H) x 23’’(D)
