SRWC COVID-19 updates

For the health and safety of our community and in compliance with university policy, SRWC Operations is prohibiting eating and drinking at the water points and plazas to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Secondly, if you travel more than 150 miles from San Mateo County, you should not return to on-site work for 10 days after your return. Lastly, on-site essential staff are asked to park in Barron Parking Garage to accommodate expanded county testing and Stanford Health Care's Community Clinic.

Changes to parking access

Stanford Health Care will be setting up a Community Clinic at Redwood City and San Mateo County COVID-19 testing is expanding to six days a week starting Feb. 1. We ask essential workers to park in Barron Parking Garage during this time as parking in the surface lots will be restricted. Reference the campus map below for a visual aid.

If you’re visiting the SRWC Recreation and Wellness Center, you may continue to park in the designated short-term spaces available in the Bay surface parking lot.

Changes to water points and plazas

New Stay Safe signage prohibiting eating and drinking has been added at the water points and plazas as a reminder.

Staff can continue to use the appliances, but are asked to use the following locations for lunch and break periods:

  • Your workstation (if you can maintain physical distancing)

  • Outdoor spaces (in front of Academy Hall and between University and Discovery Hall, for example) and terraces

  • Phone booths and similar limited occupancy, smaller enclosed spaces

We will now be providing disinfectant wipes via a service request in addition to what’s already available and stocked in common areas.
