Winter closure at SRWC reminders

Stanford Redwood City campus will be closed during winter closure, from Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, through Friday, Dec. 31, 2021. Regular operations will resume on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022.

SRWC Operations is working with pre-identified departments that will continue to work during the break to have their business needs met.

Transportation

Please note that parking on the main campus and at Stanford Redwood City will be enforced during the university's winter closure, except on Thursday, December 23; Friday, December 24, 2021; and Friday, December 31, 2021

Marguerite shuttle service will be suspended during winter closure and resumes on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022. View the shuttle schedules.

Recreation & Wellness

The Recreation & Wellness Center will be closed during winter closure beginning on Dec. 20. The facility will reopen on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022.

Cardinal Café

Cardinal Brew and Cardinal To Go will be closed on December 10th, as well as from Dec. 15 to Jan. 2 for winter closure. Regular business hours will resume on Jan. 3, 2022.

Surveillance testing

If you’ve been pre-identified to continue to work during winter closure, please ensure before Dec. 20 you have enough Color test kits to last you through the break. View the modified pickup and dropbox locations and hours on Health Alerts. Kits will not be picked up from the dropbox on Warrington Avenue on Dec. 24, Dec. 25 or Dec. 31.

Maintenance

During the break, SRWC Operations will also be performing annual campus maintenance, including:

Interior and exterior window cleaning. Make sure to clear any items off the window sills and windows in all buildings.
Heating and cooling systems upkeep.
Fire sprinkler inspections.
Refrigerators will be deep cleaned. Remove all personal items before leaving for winter break. Left Items left will be tossed.
Servicing of the HVAC system may cause slight temperature fluctuations; please alert us at srwc-operations@stanford.edu if you experience it.
