Smart Lockers

Main content start

Smart Lockers provide a secure contactless self-service way to access and retrieve packages conveniently throughout campus located in each lobby (Academy, Cardinal, Discovery, and University).

Operator delivers parcels to lockers, triggering recipient notifications.

Recipient scans the access barcode from their notification at the assigned locker.

The locker opens and the recipient grabs their parcel.

Incoming Mail

When the SRWC Mail team receives a package that requires a signature, they will notify the designated recipient via email. In response, the recipient may select ‘Smart Locker’ as their preferred delivery method.

When a package is delivered to a smart locker, an email from noreply@pb.com is sent to the recipient that includes:
- Date & time
- Locker location
- Navigation instructions
- 6-digit pin & QR code

For proof of security, a picture will be taken once the 6-digit pin or QR code is activated. Once activated, the locker(s) will release all packages assigned to the recipient.

Cross-Departmental Mail

In the event an occupant needs to exchange materials with another occupant on campus, they may now do so utilizing our Smart Lockers.  Materials must be able to fit into one of our lockers with the smallest dimensions starting at 17”x17”x4.5” (fits most laptops), and the largest being 17”x17”x18”.  To initiate the exchange process, the sender will need to submit a service request and include the following information in the description box:
- ‘Smart Locker exchange request with confirmation receipt.
- Recipient’s first and last name; email address; and SUNet ID
- Number of parcels
- Building destination’

The SRWC Mail team will respond to the request with next-step instructions for the sender to complete the exchange.
